Our Approach

A European Tradition of Music Teaching

Enescu School of Music brings the Eastern European way of teaching music to Charlotte: careful foundations, real repertoire from the first months, and a teacher who expects your best — and helps you get there.

Our teachers are Romanian musicians. Every lesson is private and built around the student — whether your child is playing their first notes or you're picking up an instrument as an adult.

Our Name

Named for Romania's
Great Musician

George Enescu (1881–1955) was a violinist, composer, pianist, conductor — and a legendary teacher, whose students included the violinist Yehudi Menuhin.

He believed technique exists to serve the music. That's the spirit we bring to every lesson.
